You will agree that; most of the fresh & raw talent passing out of universities has no clue of how & where to use all that information & knowledge gained through education. And 90% of this bunch ends up entering into jobs with handsome salaries. In fact, education is very commonly considered as the key to open the locks of the jobs to earn handsome salaries. Hardly 10% of the youths are really clear about their passion & interests, which can be taken further to live the satisfying & meaningfull life. Otherwise, all others are in the rat race of earning handsome salaries for managing a costly living style through jobs. Leave aside the contribution towards society, now a days earning money is the top-most priority ahead of even self satisfaction through nurturing own interests & passion.
NGO’s like ANANDWAN by Late Baba Amte, LOKBIRADARI prakalp by Dr. Prakash & Mandakini Amte, SEARCH by Dr. Abhay & Rani Bang has sketched remarkable strokes on the social canvas of Maharashtra for the purpose of humanity.
Following the footsteps of parents, Amrut Bang – an electronics engineer by education is leading the initiative NIRMAN, which focuses on directing the educated youth to discover the self passion & purpose of life.
NIRMAN started in June 2006 with an objective to nurture social change makers. NIRMAN has senior social activists as mentors & domain experts from various fields.
These mentors & experts guide the youths joining NIRMAN to discover the passion & purpose of life & how it can be utilised for the cause of humanity & social cause, thereby living satisfying meaningfull life.
NIRMAN conducts 4 camps of 7 days each during a period of 2 years. The camps are held at Shodhgram, Gadchiroli, in the main campus of SEARCH.

Age group of the applicants: 18 to 26 years.
At NIRMAN, youths may discover the purpose of their life & the journey of self-search may end here, thereby giving birth to meaningful & satisfying life.
