At the teenage of 19, this mountaineer has a tale of fame for being the 2nd youngest Indian to climb Mount Everest & first Maharashtrian woman mountaineer to achieve this feat. Also, she has successfully climbed summits of all 7 continents around the world.
Family background: Only child born to Mr. Madhav (Merchant Navy officer) and Ranjana Patil (school teacher) from Pune. Inspite of not getting any sponsorship, her parents took a loan of 30 Lakhs to support Krushna for pursuing her dream. However, this loan was latter waived off by the bank following her success of Everest.
Education: She enrolled in the Nehru Institute of Mountaineering (NIM) at Uttarkashi for a basic course in 2007 followed by an advance course in 2008. Latter, she completed her graduation through distance learning. She is also a trained contemporary dancer & likes to choreograph stage shows during free time.

Highly influenced by Krushna, her mother decided to settle down in ‘Leh’ for the rest of her life continuing her noble profession as a teacher, enjoying the beauty of nature & being away from hustle bustle of cities.
Profession: Always fond of adventures sport, Krushna has climbed almost all forts in Maharashtra, which has helped her to build strong physical endurance. When not busy with expeditions on mountains - her first love, she keeps her engaged with adventurous courses in canoeing, kayaking, sailing, and water rafting. She took part in an international women's rally in nepal, driving awesome Toyota Prados through the Annapurna circuit and rafting in the rapids of Trishuli. She also participated in adventure based reality show in Argentina.
She joined Go-Green-Girls compaign - a cycling expedition of 3000 km from Kolkata to Kanyakumari along India’s east coast. Turning point in life: In school, she was much more passionate about dance than sports. But, the opportunity to be part of the pre-Everest expedition in 2008 changed her life.
Award: Krushna is felicitated with "Rajiv Gandhi women achiever award" in 2009 for climbing 'Mount Everest' successfully.
