Agriculture being the backbone of Indian economy is the important profession across the lengths & breadths of the country. Infact, it is the only optional profession in most geography of the country, especially in Bharat – the rural India. With so many revolutions happenings around in science & technology, time has come to switch to modern concepts of agriculture. Although, the importance of modern agriculture is not yet cultivated among the poor farmers in rural area, it is already under implementation in rural Bharat nearby urban India.
On these lines, ‘Abhinav Farmer club’ was established in 2004 at Maan village, near Pune. The moto of the club is to spread the awareness of modern concepts of agriculture by self-implementation & assistance through guidance & training to the club members. This club has already reached the membership of 850 farmers across Maharashtra.
The farmers of this club have lots of success stories behind them. One of them is Mr. Dnyaneshwar Bodke from Man village. He has successfully cultivated carnesian flowers. After flower cultivation, he has successfully moved to export crops like brokoli, salary, cheri tomato, jhukeli etc. As he shared, the secrets behind his success story are –
· Saving ample amount of water, electricity & labour cost through thibak sinchan.
· Cooperative farming in purchasing the agro items like pesticides, seeds etc. & common transportation.
· No cultivation without study & survey of market demand.
· Analysis of expected expenses & profits before opting for the loan.
To bring the well educated youths of India back to Bharat, it's high time now to adopt the modern concepts of agriculture & cultivation. If government fails to do so, who else other than us will do it for ourselves!!!

True that the world is going with the modern technology now for farming. Need to think about increasing the awareness about new technology among rural Indian farmers.
