Diwali is all about lights, diyas, crackers, sweets etc. But there is one more tradition being enjoyed especially by children, making the miniature forts.
In today’s world of internet & video games, it is necessary to keep the children in touch with our culture & traditions. This fort-making activity directly connects the school students to the rich history of ‘Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’.
Every year, the competition cum exhibition is being organised at Sambhaji Udyan next to Balgandharv Randmandir. This year, it is on display during 24th to 30th Oct’11.
Taking the kids to visit this event surely generates curiosity about forts in their mind. This is good way to inherit the liking of the nature & our rich heritage among the kids.
